Nominations for members of the 26 School Councils have closed. 

Results are as follows:

Members of Councils Elected by Acclamation

• Members of 21/26 school councils have been elected by acclamation. No poll is required.
• The 21 school councils have 104 positions. 84 of the positions were filled.
• Of the 21 school councils elected by acclamation, 10 school councils filled all open positions.

School Councils Where a Poll is Required

• Members of the 5 school councils where the number of candidates exceeds the number of positions available, will require a poll.
• Polls will be held on Monday, October 5th from 3-8 pm at the school.
• The 5 school councils have 23 open positions. There are 38 candidates.

2020 SCHOOL COUNCIL CANDIDATE QUESTIONNAIRE

Following the close of nominations, the Association of Yukon School Councils, Boards & Committees (AYSCBC) developed an optional questionnaire for candidates to share their ideas, vision and platform(s). As per the link below, the questions speak to why candidates have chosen to put their name forward, what they wish to accomplish during their tenure should they be elected and an overview of their skills and experience. 

While some schools chose to distribute and post the questionnaires via their own communication channels, others have asked to have information posted on the AYSCBC website. As questionnaires are made available, the association will post the results below for others' review.
